The National Business & Disability Council (NBDC) maintains this web site in order to increase public access to the organization’s information and other information related to the employment of people with disabilities. This web site contains information obtained from other public and private organizations, as well as hyperlinks. While we make every effort to ensure that all information is accurately referenced, we do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or timeliness of the content. We make every effort to keep the web site current and to any correct errors brought to our attention.
NBDC respects the privacy of each individual who contacts us. As part of our commitment to safeguarding your privacy, NBDC has adopted the online privacy policy outlined below.
The collection and use of information
NBDC does not currently conduct any transactions online, and no financial information is ever collected from visitors through the website.
NBDC collects individually identifiable information as a requirement to access certain parts of the NBDC website.
Job Seekers
Individual job seekers (“Job Seekers”) may create profiles, which may include personal information (“Profiles”). Aspects of these Profiles are available to NBDC corporate members.
Job Seekers will voluntarily create a resume, username, and password associated with their Profile. These resumes are included in the NBDC National Resume Database, which can be searched by NBDC corporate members.
NBDC.com does not require any information from Job Seekers that the Job Seeker may consider confidential, such as a social security number. NBDC urges that this type on information should not be included in any Profiles.
Job Seekers may be contacted by NBDC if their Profile is considered out-of-date. If the Job Seeker cannot be reached with the contact information provided to NBDC, or a Job Seeker does not reply to NBDC within a period of 30 days, the out-dated Profile will be completely removed from the NBDC National Resume Database.
Representatives from NBDC will never ask Job Seekers for a social security or credit card number. NBDC screens resumes and profiles for inappropriate or offensive content. This content will be immediately removed from the database with no notice. NBDC is not responsible for the accuracy of Profile or resume information submitted to its website.
Corporate Members
All registration for NBDC corporate membership is transacted via telephone or email, not through NBDC.com. NBDC corporate members are assigned a username and password to access information restricted for members only. Assigned username and password will remain confidential and will not be shared. When membership is terminated, username and password information is deleted from the NBDC member database.
Member Forum Postings and other user contributed content
NBDC corporate members have the opportunity to post information to NBDC.com in the interest of sharing information on issues relevant to disability in the workplace. Once submitted, the posting member grants permission to NBDC to display the post on nbdc.com regardless of membership status.
Site usage data
Our Web server automatically recognizes and collects the domain name of all visitors to our website. We collect information about visitors to our site, such as the number of visitors, what pages they access, and the length of their visit. This information is used in aggregate form in order to manage our website.
Cookies
NBDC may use “cookies” to recognize users on the website. You may direct your browser to reject cookies.
Sharing Information
NBDC does not share any user information with other organizations for commercial purposes. We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law.

NBDC is not responsible for the information practices of linked sites. NBDC encourages visitors to review the privacy policy of each site you visit.
